Who am I?

Hi, I’m Amirah! I’m a 23 year old painter and jewelry maker. I’m an Art Administration major at Georgia State University. I hope to be the kind of person you never forget meeting.

What do I do?

I bring bold, colorful, purposeful, and fun works of art to the function. My creations could be considered a mixture of soulful afro futurism and childish nerdy whimsy. Everything I craft tells a story. My canvas are full of feelings. My jewelry uses genuine gemstones that reflect my love for the Earth and my deep gratitude for God’s resources. Every piece I make is meant to stand out, speak my truth, and bring a little beauty into someone’s world.

Why I do it?

This is my escape. I grew up coping with hardships like mental health struggles, homelessness, and bullying. There have been times where I lost myself but creating grounds me. Art helps me process pain and hold onto my dreams. I create because I am grateful for life. i hope I can bring that gracious feeling to others too.
